Making a Difference Beyond Campus

Being a Delta Chi means recognizing that leadership extends beyond the classroom and beyond our chapter. Through philanthropy and community service, our members strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while strengthening the communities we call home.

The Troy Chapter is committed to supporting causes that improve lives, inspire hope, and demonstrate our belief that true leadership is measured by service to others.

Our National Philanthropy

The V Foundation for Cancer Research

Delta Chi Fraternity is proud to partner with The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation's leading organizations dedicated to achieving victory over cancer.

Founded in 1993 by legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano and ESPN, The V Foundation funds world-class cancer research and innovative treatment initiatives. Since its founding, the organization has awarded hundreds of millions of dollars in research grants, helping advance the fight against cancer while supporting scientists and physicians working toward better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Inspired by Coach Valvano's belief that one person can make a difference, Delta Chi chapters across North America proudly support the Foundation through fundraising, awareness campaigns, and community engagement.

“Don’t Give Up... Don’t Ever Give Up.”
— Jim Valvano

Service to the Troy Community

Giving back is a responsibility shared by every Delta Chi brother.

In addition to supporting our national philanthropy, members of the Troy Chapter actively seek opportunities to serve Troy University and the surrounding community through volunteerism and campus engagement.

Examples of service include:

  • Community clean-up projects

  • Campus beautification

  • Food and supply drives

  • Local nonprofit partnerships

  • University volunteer initiatives

  • Educational outreach

  • Disaster relief efforts when needed

Our goal is simple: leave our campus and community better than we found them.
